Michele Oppenberg was born and raised in The Bronx, New York. She graduated from The High School of Art & Design in NYC, and obtained a BFA from The Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. After a brief career as a Display Artist for Macy’s, she learned the art of Decorative Painting with one of the longest established Decorative Painting companies in the US, The Valley Craftsmen, LTD., in Baltimore & Washington D.C. She stayed with the company for 12 years, becoming the Production Manager of their main division, Residential, as well as hiring and training. She also led several long distance projects, including a Cruise Liner docked in San Diego, California. She moved to Naples, Florida, in 1999, where she started a satellite Studio for The Valley Craftsmen. In 2002, she became owner of The Valley Craftsmen South, Inc. Michele and her staff have worked together for many years running, and take pride in the skill and talent the company possesses.
|Aside from Decorative Painting, Michele is also educated in Photography and Feng Shui. She earned certification in Feng Shui from Sheffield School of Interior Design in NYC. Her interests include Home Remodeling & Interior Design, Gardening, Health, Yoga, and Dogs. She lives in Ft. Myers with her Remodeler and Musician husband, their rescued Australian Shepherd and Cat, in a 1958 remodeled Rancher.|
